Patriot Camp 2013 has begun! Everyday this week we will be participating in six different stations teaching us about our nation and our constitution. Five patriot camps go on here in Utah from Logan to Salt Lake City and each have one purpose: Educating, enlightening, and exciting the youth in our community as to the fundamental principles and beliefs on which this country was founded.
There are three more camps to come so if you want to volunteer or have your children attend you can still sign up - it is an awesome experience!

Day 1 Activities
 The campers learned a song called "Working Together" to perform for parents on Friday. |  Senator Barlow opened with a pray and we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. |  We learned about our flag, made a replica of the 1776 flag and made booklets on how to care for and display our flag. |

Christopher Columbus talked to the children about his part in our freedom and independence. He then let the children explore his ship, the Santa Maria.

The children went back in time to the Mayflower when the pilgrims were experimenting with communism v.s. private property.

They learned about Joan of Arc and made her crest, then had snacks while listening to stories of patriots.
