The Mix
3 parts cinnamon powder
pinch of cardamom (optional, since it is so expensive)
How to Use
Steep one teaspoon in a cup of hot water for 10-15 minutes. Stir in raw honey to taste. When using powdered herbs to make tea, I prefer to first make an herbal honey with the mix and then use a tablespoon of the herbal honey per cup of warm water.
As an Herbal Capsule
Using the capsule machine fill each capsule with the mix.
Dosage (as per Rosmary Gladstar's Medicinal Herbs):
1-2 herbal capsules every 2 hours, for a total of up to 8 capsules daily
As an Herbal Sprinkle
You can use this as a sprinkle in your culinary dishes or as a sprinkle in shoes or socks to warm cold extremities in the winter. When you can't seem to warm those frozen toes or you are going out into the cold, simply sprinkle the inside of your shoe with this mix. I love this in smoothies, for soothing sore throats, and mixed into hot cereal for breakfast.
As an Herbal Oil
Make an herbal infused oil with this mix and rub into the chest and back for respiratory congestion, rub over the abdomen for indigestion, nausea, gas, or bloating, rub onto the bottoms of the feet to not only warm cold feet but to absorb into the body to fight viruses, bacteria, and infection. This can also be rubbed onto any area of pain, like sore muscles or joints, bruises and directly in the mouth for cankers, mouth sores and toothache.
